Founded in 2001 by Eric "ET" Mobley with the help of a few local valley session players, Calumet has transformed a retro-session project into the hottest live ensemble featuring local valley musicians with years of experience beneath their belts.

E.T. Mobley hails from Calumet City, Illinois, and reflects the inner-city rhythm and blues upbringing into the foundation of Calumet's innovative "millennium funk" sound. Mobley blends the musicality of yesterdays soul, with the vibrant, up-beat rhythms and tempos of today. Calumet's sound is derived straight from the foundations of today's Hip-Hop and Pop Culture. A mixture of syncopations, hook driven melodies, power-vocal lines, and the almighty "funk" attitude, geared up to tear the roof off on any given night.



Drummer "Disko" D. K. Mueller is a road veteran, having been the founding drummer of Arizona's Phunk Junkeez. Disko is an accomplished drummer, programmer, and bassist when he's not busy rockin' the skins.

Part rhythm and blues, part vintage funk/punk attitude, and all the polishing of today's dance oriented syncopations, Calumet breathes life into the stagnant mainstream of indie-rock and teeny-bopper marketed artists.
